Privacy Management
In carrying out its responsibilities in relation to registration, accreditation and systems of non-government schools, the Office of the Board is committed to complying with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW). It is also mindful of confidential matters related to the business affairs of schools.
The Information Protection Principles detailed in Sections 8 and 9 of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act set the privacy standards that the Office of the Board of Studies is required to follow when dealing with personal information.
The Office's Privacy Management Plan describes how the Office complies with the Information Protection Principles in relation to personal information supplied by proposed schools, by registered and accredited schools and by registration systems in complying with the requirements of the Education Act.
