Application forms

How long does it take to register a non-government school?

Details of the timelines for submitting applications are explained in section 7 of the Registered and Accredited Individual Non-government Schools (NSW) Manual and Section 9 of the Registration Systems and Member Non-government Schools (NSW) Manual. It takes approximately nine (9) months for the Board of Studies to process an application.

When do I need to apply?

The following timelines apply:

  • for proposed new schools - by 31 March in the year prior to the intended date for commencement
  • for proposed new Year(s) of schooling - by 31 March in the year prior to the intended date for commencement
  • for renewal - by 31 March in the year the current registration/accreditation is due to expire.
